My name is Vicki Tate. I'm a photographer, graphic designer and now a blogger. I live just outside of Huntsville, Alabama and have lived here for twenty two years. I'm married to my high school sweetheart and have two grown children. I have 3 crazy dogs and 3 cats, one of whom thinks he's a dog.Photography is something that I can't stop doing. I love every aspect of it. I'm normal, I love to photograph my cats, my dogs and my family. I find pleasure in capturing that perfect shot of a bug or my flowers. The thing that I didn't see coming was the fondness that I have for taking pictures of people.
I find true beauty in most people. Some people are just drop dead gorgeous and some have a uniqueness all their own. I think they are all beautiful in their own way. My job is to find that and show it to the world.
I like to shoot weddings. To have someone trust me with their wedding day memories is very flattering to me. I know how special that day is and I also know that when you're in the middle of it, things happen so fast. My job is to document that day in a way that tells a story. So ten years from now you can go back look through your pictures and relive it like it was yesterday. I'm still perfecting my style but I'd say that it's more on the photojournalistic side with a touch of traditionalism. I prefer candid shots over posed shots, although I know the posed shots are necessary.
I love what I do and don't plan to stop any time soon.
